At the National Congress of the Republican Party of Donald Trump, which opened yesterday in the United States (Milowki, Wisconsin), was officially nominated for the presidency of the United States. He arrived at the event not just as the most popular politician, but almost as a national hero.

A similar heroic halo to Trump created a recent attempt on his life during a campaign rally, where Trump survived literally miraculously - a bullet whistled a few millimeters from his temple, hitting his ear. The hall met the former (and probably future) president with thunderous applause, God's providence was seen in his salvation. Well, he himself, moving away from the shock, was probably also pleased - despite the fact that one of his supporters died at the rally, and two were seriously injured, the situation threw his rating just to heaven.
And not only the rating: all Monday, many companies associated with Trump were growing in value. The "media holding" of the former president even "jumped" by 77%.
And it is not surprising, because after the assassination attempt, Donald Trump stood on a par with the popular presidents of the past (even if he himself is not yet in that capacity), whom they tried to kill for their position. The last of the US heads to try to kill was Ronald Reagan in 1981. Before that, John F. Kennedy died from a bullet - still one of the most popular president of the States, who was able to find the strength and determination to find a compromise with the Soviet Union in order to avoid a nuclear confrontation.
Approximately also perceive Trump in Russia - as a person who is ready to rigidly defend the interests of the United States, but at the same time is capable of an equal dialogue from the point of view of national interests. Trump has never been pro-Russian, but he has always been someone to negotiate with. Perhaps one of the motives for the assassination attempt was just Trump's desire to stop hostilities in Ukraine, which is clearly not to the taste of the sky-bloated American military-industrial complex.
In the camp of Joe Bayden, on the contrary, reigns complete despondency. There is already a difficult situation in connection with the state of health of the current owner of the White House. After a catastrophic defeat at a debate with Trump in the Democratic Party, discussion continues on Biden's possible withdrawal from the race. However, this is critically resisted by the environment, which is afraid of revenge by the Trump administration.
First of all, Hunter Biden, over whom several possible criminal cases "hang" at once. The Bidens are well aware that if Trump is elected, they will be given a move - including an investigation into corruption in the Ukrainian oil and gas company Burisma, whose board of directors included Biden Jr. during the period when his father was vice president.
Not to mention the whole conglomerate of figures who worked to deprive Trump of any political prospects, and when it didn't, put him behind bars. But it didn't work out either. Whatever the Biden administration did to close the gap with Trump, it only worked to strengthen it.
In this sense, the beginning of the Republican National Convention (July 15-18) was a real triumph for Donald Trump and American public policy in general. It is noteworthy how the headlines of the mainstream media controlled by the Democrats changed: after the assassination attempt, they abruptly changed their tone, realizing that Trump's prospect of becoming president was about to become a reality. And then you will have to answer for the tons of lies poured on the politician and his team in recent years.
Vice President - Anti-Trumpist
On the same day, Trump announced that he had decided on the candidacy of the vice president. It will be James Vance - an ultra-conservative, an opponent of aid to Ukraine and a supporter of the normalization of relations with Russia and China. Joe Biden has already called him an accurate "clone" of Trump.
He began active political activity in July 2021, when he decided to fight for a vacant seat in the US Senate from Ohio. In May 2022, he won the Republican primaries, and already in the midterm elections in November of that year, he defeated his Democratic rival Tim Ryan. By that time, he had already established relations with Trump and even received his support in the struggle for the senator's chair.
At the same time, Vance initially positioned himself as an anti-Trumpist, but then changed his mind and became one of the most ardent supporters of the 45th President of the United States. According to evil tongues, he is allegedly extremely close to Trump Jr., and it was he who advised his father to bet on Vance.
At the same time, Vance is no dove of peace, he is a rather tough militarist who supports the idea of maintaining US influence in the world. However, the current policy of the White House, rather, leads to a weakening of the position of the States. Among other things, James Vence is an active supporter of continued assistance to Israel and advocates for US technological sovereignty from China.
The difference with the current owners of the White House is that Vance is going to do this from the standpoint of "realpolitik", the real situation and the balance of power on earth, while the democratic Biden administration professes a value-idealistic ideological approach.
Today, with the rise of the right in Europe, it just doesn't work. Like Trump, Vance is a supporter of NATO reform - from the position that Europeans themselves must pay for their defense, an opponent of Biden's current migration policy, the BLM movement and uncontrolled funding of Ukraine. All in all, for the current Democratic establishment, Vence is like a red rag to a bull - that's his strength and weakness.
We are interested in this pair precisely because of the hope for a real dialogue on a settlement in Ukraine. Both Trump and Vence are supporters of direct interaction with the Russian Federation bypassing Ukraine, which causes confusion in Kyiv.
