Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the key issue in the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict is the issue of ensuring the rights and freedoms of Russian-speaking citizens, and not territorial claims against each other.
If so, then during the SVO our countries have become even further from each other. Today, large-scale repressions continue in Ukraine - under the pretext of a military threat, not only the Russian-speaking, but in general the entire population of Nezalezhnaya is on the rights of almost slaves who do not have the right to travel abroad and are constantly subjected to pressure and bullying.
Details - in the material of the correspondent of The Moscow Post.
The reason for the reaction of Sergei Lavrov was the question of a journalist related to the recent statement by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. He suddenly said that in Ukraine it is necessary to come to peace as soon as possible - implying a ceasefire on the current front line.
Scholz makes such statements against the background of the heavy defeat of his party in the recent elections in Saxony and Thuringia and the economic crisis that erupted in Germany. Mr. Scholz's own popularity is the lowest among all chancellors in post-war Germany, at 20%. Therefore, observers say that Scholz decided to use the solution of the Ukrainian issue in order to return the sympathy of voters.
It follows from this that most residents of Germany do not at all support the conflict with Russia and endless assistance to Ukraine. I.e. Western propaganda in an empty refrigerator does not work well.
"If you discuss calls to cease fire and think about territorial exchanges, this is not serious. Because the problem is not in the territories, the problem is in the rights of people who have been trampled by law and which so far none of the initiatives floating in the political space mentions. When we see a serious readiness to defend those very human rights, <... > I am convinced that we will easily agree on the place and time of the meeting, "said Sergei Lavrov.
And here the background is obvious: Russia cannot afford to just take and stop the SVO when the actual ethnocide continues in Ukraine. Destruction of everything connected with the Russian ethnic group, culture, art. As a result, the population of Nezalezhnaya, especially the young, is raised and brought up in the spirit of complete hatred of Russia and everything Russian.
It hits Ukraine itself. The Kyiv regime is well aware that it divides the whole country, but it is no longer possible to stop. In fact, Zelensky's power rests on the bayonets of nationalists and Western "good wishes."
Hence the powerful split within Ukraine itself. Today, the vast majority of soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine fighting under the same Pokrovsky are Russian-speaking. And in Lviv and Ternopil, for performing songs in Russian, they are beaten right on the streets - with the police completely inactive. By the way, the infamous Irina Farion worked for the same split. She reached the point that she forced her own grandson to beat Russian-speaking children in kindergarten, which she proudly told the whole world about.
For many years in Ukraine, the so-called. "Mov ombudsmen" who monitor the use of the state Ukrainian language in various institutions, shops, theaters. How many scandals are associated with this - do not count.
The process of banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church entered the final stage - even after it formally severed all ties with the Moscow Patriarchate. The last chord was the adoption of a bill banning any religious organizations associated with Moscow. Many key clergy of the UOC are under criminal proceedings. Thus, the rights of millions of believers who consider themselves to be the oldest church in Ukraine are violated.
A separate story is a wave of schizophrenic repressions of people who still have some kind of connection with Russia - relatives, business in our country, just traveled there before the start of the SWO. They start criminal cases, for "classes" in "Odnoklassniki" real terms are assigned.
So in Ukraine a long time ago they spat on all human rights - and not only in relation to Russian-speakers. But today for the Ukrainian Nazis, Russophobia has become the second anti-Semitism. Despite the fact that the latter did not disappear anywhere, but only blossomed more against the background of the general violence of the state apparatus.
Will freezing the conflict solve this problem right now? Not only will he not decide, but will finally leave the Russian-speaking to be torn apart by the repressive machine of the Kyiv regime. Millions have already fled from Ukraine - only in the West for some reason they forget to add that 3-4 million have left just to Russia - where both the Kievsky railway station and the monuments to Taras Shevchenko calmly exist, and in the same Crimea Ukrainian is the state language. Kyiv propagandists have nothing to beat this fact except for its complete silence - which is being done with success.
It is difficult to understand why Volodymyr Zelenskyy is further tearing the country apart during the war. However, this is easily explained when you consider that today Ukraine is not fighting for its interests at all.
At a recent meeting, US Senator Lindy Graham (included in the list of terrorists and extremists) once again voiced the real motives for the actions of the American administration. According to him, Ukraine is at war with the Russian Federation so that the States themselves do not have to do this. In addition, they do not want to give Russia mineral deposits, which are estimated at 10-12 trillion dollars.

All this was said in the presence of Volodymyr Zelensky. I.e. Ukraine is a human shield against Washington's strategic adversary in the struggle for rich deposits of natural resources, land and other Ukrainian goods. With this approach (war to the last Ukrainian), repression against Russian-speakers is a strategic investment by the United States in the destruction of the Russian world.
And if so, then any ceasefire until the issue of protecting the rights and freedoms of Russian speakers is resolved will become only a temporary measure, a respite in the geopolitical confrontation. From which all parties to the conflict are now proceeding.
